I'm going to buy a graphics tablet and try to use it in Inkscape, as I just discovered that Inkscape can use a graphics tablet well. I'd like to cartoon on it, although I'm still sketching a lot on paper. Drawing is so fucking hard. Drawing hands is so goddamn fucking hard. Drawing heads is a bit easier. This started out as a test of hand-cartooning in Inkscape with just a ball-mouse (a Hello Kitty ps/2 mouse Grace got me for my birthday) and occasional arrow-key manipulation and I just decided to finish the drawing and color it in the Gimp to see what it'd look like. I'm very pleased with the results. But of course some harsh, bitter, scathing, mean-spirited, soul-scarring criticism is welcome.
